What: Emerging and experimental arts festival show casing more than 200 artists across 170 events.
Where: Different locations across Newcastle
How much: Prices depend – mostly free exhibits.
Oktoberfest Weekend
When: October 11 – October 13
What: The Grain Store will be putting a heap of German beers on their taps to celebrate the occasion and will also have German dance performances.
Where: Grain Store – 64-66 Scott St Newcastle
How much: Free entry! Whoop!
Olive Tree Market
When: October 5th
What: Craft and food market with live music and a great vibe.
Where: Civic Park
How much: Free entry.
Newcastle International Half Marathon
When: October 6th
What: Half Marathon to be staged along and around the Newcastle Harbour. Beaches, Parks and Foreshore.
Where: Newcastle Foreshore
How much: It’s $75 to enter if you are brave enough or you can just watch people push themselves to their limit for free.
Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase
When: October 5th @ 8:00pm
What: The best of the Sydney Comedy Festival is coming to Newcastle. Only the best of the whole event are making it up here. It will be one cracker of a night.
